Sara Mehr, executive chef at Cameron’s American Bistro, began her Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) career as a line cook. Establishing a love for cooking from her parents, Mehr expanded her culinary education and graduated from the International Culinary School at the Art Institutes in Orange County, California.
“Never stop learning,” Mehr says when asked about advice she has for aspiring chefs. “Everyone has something to teach you.”
When asked what her favorite part about working for CMR is, she says the relationships she has in her restaurant. “I get to come and work with my friends every day.”
A current resident of Worthington, Ohio, Mehr enjoys spending time with family, taking care of her pets (two cats, one dog & many fish), listening to music, and going on road trips. Her favorite styles of cooking are grilling and Mediterranean cuisine. Mehr says her kitchen is not complete without a variety of cheeses, garlic, sumac, and a spatula.
